About the job Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will play a key role within the finance team with responsibility for preparing statutory returns and supporting the day-to-day financial operations. Your duties will include but not be limited to: Assisting the Finance Manager with day-to-day activities of the finance team Preparing and submitting monthly CIS and RCT Returns Preparing VAT returns for review by the Finance Manager Responsible for bank and credit card reconciliations including processing sundry payments and receipts Ensuring invoices are accurately coded and posted to the ledger Reconciling supplier statements Preparing weekly payment runs Posting month-end overhead accruals Dealing with supplier queries in a timely manner Setting up new suppliers in line with company procedures Attendance at weekly finance meetings Supporting with other ad hoc finance duties as required Your skills & experience At least 2 years experience in an accounts role Strong knowledge of reconciliations, VAT, CIS and/or RCT Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work both independently and as part of a team Skills: Accounts Payable Vat Returns CIS Returns RCT Returns
