Multiskilled Engineer (Mechanical bias)

Our client is a national food manufacturer with eight sites across the UK who is looking to add a Multiskilled Engineer to the engineering team based at the Somerset site. This is a hands-on and varied role where you'll be part of an on-site engineering team, ensuring the site operates safely, efficiently and reliably.
Multiskilled Engineer - Responsibilities
* Carrying out planned, reactive, and preventative maintenance on production and intake systems.
* Troubleshooting and resolving breakdowns, minimising downtime.
* Liaising closely with colleagues to support continuous production.
* Driving continuous improvement in efficiency, safety, quality and performance.
* Ensuring accurate maintenance records are kept for compliance and safety.
Multiskilled Engineer - Requirements
* A recognised qualification/apprenticeship in mechanical and electrical engineering.
* Minimum 17th Edition certification (18th Edition desirable).
* Experience in industrial engineering environments with both short and long-term project delivery.
* Good knowledge of Star Delta, PLCs and Safe Isolation processes.
* Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work well within a team.
