About the Company
Our client, a well-established small-to-medium enterprise operating within the UK Secure Government Sector, is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to join their team in Westminster. This is a high-impact role supporting critical national infrastructure and defence programmes.
About the Role
The successful candidate will be a DevOps specialist with strong experience in container orchestration, particularly with Kubernetes and OpenShift, and will be comfortable working in a secure, on-site environment.
Responsibilities
* Design, implement and manage containerised environments using Kubernetes and OpenShift
* Develop and maintain secure, automated CI/CD pipelines
* Apply infrastructure-as-code principles using tools such as Terraform and Ansible
* Monitor system performance and resolve complex production issues
* Ensure compliance with security and governance standards across all environments
Qualifications
* Current SC clearance is mandatory
* Candidates must be eligible for DV clearance (British citizen, resident in the UK for the past 10 years)
Required Skills
* Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Red Hat OpenShift
* Proven background in DevOps within secure or government environments
* Proficiency with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitLab CI
* Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure or GCP)
* Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
Preferred Skills
* Experience in working on high-impact, secure government projects
* Ability to join a close-knit, agile team within an established SME
Pay range and compensation package
Salary: Up to £100,000 per annum
