We are working with an independent special school, catering for up to 40 pupils aged 11 to 19 with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs. The school is looking for a compassionate and dedicated SEN Education Support Worker to join their team.
Key Responsibilities:
* Ensure the school site, buildings, and grounds are well-maintained, safe, and presentable.
* Coordinate with the Senior Leadership Team and oversee external contractors.
* Maintain high standards of Health and Safety.
* Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs.
* Maintain heating, lighting, and alarm systems.
* Supervise external contractors for maintenance or repairs.
* Ensure security of the school premises.
* Possess practical DIY skills for minor repairs.
* Understand Health and Safety regulations.
* Pay attention to detail and be proactive in maintenance tasks.
* Follow safeguarding and child protection principles.
* Work independently and manage time effectively.

* Willingness to undergo checks: Enhanced DBS, references, Overseas Police Check if applicable.
