Job Description Summary
This position operates computed tomography scanners for a variety of procedures following directives of staff radiologists. The candidate is responsible for explaining procedures to patients, administering contrast media as requested, and scheduling patients in an organized manner. All duties performed per approved protocol.
Responsibilities and Duties
* Obtain patient clinical history for procedures.
* Review lab values and screen patients for allergies to determine contraindications to contrast media.
* Administer oral and IV contrast media.
* Operate CT scanners for a variety of procedures.
* Coordinate workload with other clinical sections and departments.
* Monitor quality in patient care functions.
Minimum Qualifications
* ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
* Ohio Department of Health License
* Basic Life Support (BLS) - American Heart Association
Additional Job Requirements
* Graduate of an accredited radiography program
* Ohio Radiologic License
* BLS Certification
* Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
