About us:
A unique pub situated on the Exeter canal, 15 mins walk from the quayside and now 5 minutes from Marsh Barton train station. The pub has one of the largest beer gardens in the south with over 1000 outdoor spaces. We host various events and functions that cater from 100 to our busiest one of the year hijacking 4000 people. With outdoor bars and BBQs, no week is ever the same at the double locks. In the winter was a lovely traditional pub with log fires and lots of dogs.
Seasonal Grill Chef – Weekend Burger Van
We’re looking for an experienced and reliable Grill Chef to run our busy burger van on a seasonal basis.
Working days: Every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
Location: Double Locks
Responsibilities:
1. Preparing and cooking high-quality burgers and grill items
2. Managing all food prep before service
3. Ordering supplies and maintaining stock levels
4. Ensuring the van is clean, organised, and compliant with food hygiene standards
5. Taking ownership of the van’s weekend operations
Requirements:
6. Previous experience working on a grill or in a fast-paced kitchen
7. Ability to work independently and take full responsibility for the setup
8. Strong organisational skills (stock control, ordering, prep planning)
9. Reliable and available every weekend
10. Food hygiene certification is a plus
