About The Role
Are you passionate about garment construction and excited by the idea of sharing your technical expertise with the next generation of designers? In this hands‑on role, you’ll support students across a range of fashion and garment‑related courses, helping them to develop confidence and industry‑ready skills.
As a Technical Specialist, you’ll deliver practical teaching sessions, demonstrate specialist equipment and techniques, and provide one‑to‑one and group support in our busy technical spaces. You’ll work across a wide variety of machinery and processes including industrial sewing, woven, jersey and denim construction, and specialist technician‑only equipment.
You’ll play a key role in developing high‑quality technical resources from process guides and demonstrations to displays and sample libraries, and you’ll help ensure our workshops run smoothly, safely and efficiently. As a senior member of the team you will also coach junior technical colleagues, contribute to project work and help maintain our excellent standards of service.
You don’t need to meet every single requirement to apply; we know great talent comes in many forms. We welcome applications from candidates interested in part‑time or flexible working and encourage secondments wherever possible.
