What You Will Do
As a National Control Centre Operative, you will play a vital role in the heart of the business. Providing a central point of communication for nationwide operational delivery. Working as a part of a team, you will monitor sites, process alarms, set up new sites, as well as assisting with rostering and ensuring our Security Officers are safe on site. Due to be our main point of contact, you will be working collaboratively with Officers, Operational Management, and liaising with clients. Our fast-paced Control Centre ensures that no two days are the same.

Main Responsibilities
* Work in accordance with all company polices, company procedures, legislation and Control Room Manual.
* Ensure that all sites and contracts are fully monitored.
* To ensure that the CCTV duties are carried out as instructed by the Technology Department and any issues are emailed to them and noted in CCTV Log along with details of any appropriate action taken and all details from monitoring station.
* To ensure that the Control Room handover is conducted and all relevant points are actioned accordingly and noted in the control log.
* To ensure that all manned guarding sites accurately reflect the contracted hours on the Smart-Task system and any additional cover is marked accordingly, in order for accounts to invoice correctly.
* To ensure that all site issues are entered in the control log and passed onto the relevant manager as soon as possible.
* To ensure that all vehicles are signed in and out on the vehicle log and follow correct procedures for breakdown/accident/faults/repairs.
* Ensure correct protocol for shift reminders are followed.
* To monitor the CCTV screens for the purpose of monitoring and detecting incidents, taking action when required and gathering information and evidence.
* To be courteous, polite and professional when dealings with public and staff.
* To maintain thorough records including Incident logs, Control Logs, and any other designated records within the NCC.
* To assist police and any other authorised personnel to review images and download data as required in line with Data Protection and CCTV codes of practice.
* To provide reasonable additional cover for sickness and holiday cover as appropriate.
* Responsible for the security of the Control Room and regular careful use of all equipment.
* Take part in risk assessments, workplace inspections, safety tours and audits when necessary.
* To complete all keyholding and alarm response paperwork as required
* To respond to keyholding and alarm response call outs within the specified time span.
* Where necessary to await Emergency Service response on site and hand over an ongoing situation.
What We Expect of You
* MG, DS or CP SIA licence.
* Full UK driving licence.
* Control room experience.
* Computer literate in MS office packages.
* Self-motivated.
* Ability to work under pressure.
* Unmatched customer service acumen.
* Effective communicator.
* Capability to work in a team or independently.
* Knowledge of BS7499 (advantage).
* Knowledge of SmartTask (advantage).

* £13.20 per hour
* 4 on days, 4 off, 4 on nights, 4 off – rotation - 12-hour shifts, 07:00 to 19:00 and 19:00 to 07:00.
