Assistant Practitioner - Physiotherapy

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and enthusiastic Musculoskeletal Assistant Practitioner / Health Coach to join our dynamic physiotherapy team. We welcome applications from both experienced Assistant Practitioners / Health Coaches and individuals who are new to this area but eager to learn, as full training and regular supervision will be provided. This role offers an excellent foundation for anyone wishing to develop their skills within a supportive and progressive musculoskeletal service.
In this position, you will contribute to the assessment and rehabilitation of patients with a range of musculoskeletal conditions, including osteoarthritis and postoperative recovery following procedures such as total knee replacement. Working closely with qualified physiotherapists, you will help deliver tailored exercise programmes and support the smooth running of our gym‑based exercise groups. This will involve assisting patients during sessions, managing the administrative processes associated with the classes, contacting patients to arrange appointments, and gathering feedback at the end of their treatment.
We offer flexible working hours, with positions available between 22.5 and 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. The role will be primarily based at Evesham Community Hospital, with travel to other sites as required to support service needs.

Main duties of the job
* Assess and treat appropriate patients with musculoskeletal conditions.
* Continue patient treatment plans handed over by qualified physiotherapists.
* Support and deliver gym‑based exercise classes.
* Assist with classes held within physiotherapy clinics.
* Guide patients safely and effectively through their exercise programmes.
* Complete administrative tasks associated with classes and patient pathways.
* Contact patients to arrange appointments and collect feedback at the end of treatment.
* Manage stock levels and support supply‑chain processes to ensure equipment and resources are available when needed.

Qualifications
* Foundation Degree in Health and Social Care (or equivalent such as Higher National Diploma (HND) or BTEC level 4).
* GCSE Maths and English (Grade A-C) or equivalent.
* Will be asked to provide original certificates to verify qualifications at the point of offer.
Experience
* Significant experience working within a relevant clinical service as a senior HCA / HCSW.
