Job Title: Interior Designer

Location: Lancashire

Salary: GBP35:40,000 DOE

An award:winning UK architectural practice, renowned for its expertise in healthcare and public:sector design, is seeking an experienced Interior Designer to join its collaborative team on a 1:year fixed:term contract. The practice is known for delivering imaginative, people:focused solutions in complex and challenging environments, combining creativity, technical excellence, and a genuine commitment to improving lives through design.

Operating across the UK and internationally, the studio works on projects ranging from GBP500,000 refurbishments to GBP170 million developments, covering healthcare, education, residential, and mixed:use sectors. As early adopters of BIM and the first Level 2 accredited practice in the North West, the team embraces innovation, sustainability, and collaboration as core values. This is a supportive, medium:sized studio where interior designers are encouraged to develop, share ideas, and take ownership of meaningful work.

Daily Duties:

* Lead and contribute to interior design projects through all RIBA stages, from concept to completion.
* Develop detailed design information, including mood boards, layouts, and FF and E specifications.
* Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to deliver coordinated design solutions.
* Attend client meetings and site visits to ensure design intent and quality standards are maintained.
* Prepare and present design proposals and presentations to clients and stakeholders.
* Contribute to design reviews, sustainability initiatives, and knowledge:sharing within the practice.

Ideal Candidate:

* Proven experience as an Interior Designer, with several years of industry experience.
* Strong portfolio demonstrating creativity, technical proficiency, and attention to detail.
* Proficiency in design software, including AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Suite; Revit experience is advantageous.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills.
* Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
* Enthusiastic about high:quality design, innovation, and continuous professional development.
