Company description: An established, privately‑owned food manufacturer is seeking an experienced Team Leader to manage daily production shifts. The role focuses on people leadership, maintaining consistent product quality, adherence to food safety and H&S standards, and meeting production targets.
Responsibilities
Lead and supervise shift teams to meet daily production targets and quality standards.
Allocate tasks, maintain workflow, and supervise production processes.
Enforce food safety, hygiene, and health & safety procedures.
Monitor stock usage and contribute to waste minimisation.
Conduct shift‑level checks and keep accurate production/quality records.
Coach and develop team members; manage basic performance issues or escalate as required.
Ensure clean, safe, and compliant working environment; support shift handovers.Required Experience & Skills
Proven supervisory experience in food production or manufacturing.
Good knowledge of food hygiene and safety principles.
Strong people management and communication skills.
Ability to work to targets and maintain quality under pressure.
Basic numeracy and record‑keeping skills.Desirable
Experience in bakery or similar food production environments.
Familiarity with HACCP or QA systems.
