Job summary
Lead the fight against Limb Loss and join us as a Vascular Woundcare Specialist Podiatrist. You will take a key leadership role in the team shaping clinical pathways, developing the service in innovative and exciting ways and engaging in award winning quality improvement projects.

Main duties of the job
Deliver clinical expertise and management of a caseload of complex patients using advanced diagnostic and excellent treatment packages
Ensure patients experience a smooth, seamless clinical pathway from start to finish.
Support and collaborate with clinical colleagues in effective case management.
Foster strong, collaborative relationships within the multidisciplinary team.
Lead clinical governance initiatives and provide training to a team of podiatrists.
Demonstrate outstanding leadership and serve as a professional ambassador for the podiatry field.

Person Specification Education/Qualifications Essential
* BSc Degree in Podiatric Medicine or Diploma (if qualified prior 1991)
* Evidence of continual professional and personal development portfolio. Post graduate courses/ Education in Advanced Podiatric Practice
* Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council
* Certificate in local anaesthesia
Desirable
* Non-medical prescriber
* Ionising Radiation (medical exposure) Regulations Training
* Training in requesting and interpretation of investigations relevant to foot complications
Experience Essential
* Experience of working at a band 6 level or above and evidence of working with a high risk caseload
* Experience of multidisciplinary and interagency working
* Experience of working in a fast paced NHS environment
* Experience of clinical supervision and mentoring
* Experience of service development
