An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the new NHS Borders Primary & Community Services admin hub.
Responsibilities
We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated individuals who can work flexibly to answer the telephone, book appointments, greet patients, and support colleagues across the wider Community Treatment and Care service (CTAC).
The P&CS Hub operates Monday to Friday, 08:00‑17:00.
Various hours are available, from part‑time hours up to a 34‑hour per week.
These roles are based in the NHS Borders admin hub at Newstead but occasional travel may be required to other admin bases across the Borders.
Training will be provided.
Employment Details
Fixed term posts until 30/09/2026: 1x34 hours and 1x30.5 hours. As from 1 April 2026 the Agenda for Change full‑time working week will be reducing from 37 to 36 hours per week. Part‑time hours will be reduced pro‑ratio. However, there will be a corresponding increase in the hourly rate so that pay will not be affected.
Eligibility and Checks
To work in the United Kingdom, there is a legal requirement for an individual to demonstrate that they have the relevant permission to work in the country. This permission is, without exception, granted by the UK Visa and Immigration Service. NHS Scotland boards will check your entitlement to work in the UK and can evidence it through visa status or EU settled/pre‑settled status. It is essential that you have checked that you either already have an appropriate right to work in the UK or that the post would be eligible to be sponsored BEFORE submitting your application form.
Contact
For informal enquiries, please contact our team of P&CS Admin Hub supervisors by e‑mailing bor.ctachubsupervisors@borders.scot.nhs.uk.
Application Notice
* PLEASE NOTE: We cannot accept late applications so please ensure your application is submitted early.
* Please note: As this is a part‑time post, the salary shown will be pro‑rata.

NHS Scotland is committed to encouraging equality and diversity among our workforce and eliminating unlawful discrimination. The aim is for our workforce to be truly representative and for each employee to feel respected and able to give their best. To this end, NHS Scotland welcomes applications from all sections of society.
