We are seeking a Technical Surveyor to join the Property Services team, providing expert technical support across the Bournemouth, Christchurch, and Poole locality. This role plays a key part in ensuring homes are safe, compliant, and maintained to the highest standard, while delivering a great service to customers.
Key Responsibilities
* Investigate, diagnose, and resolve day-to-day property maintenance issues raised internally or by customers.
* Carry out inspections before, during, and after works to ensure quality and compliance.
* Provide detailed specifications, including scope of works, quantities, costs, and timescales.
* Ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the required technical standards.
* Support in-house trades teams and external contractors to achieve first-time fixes.
* Maintain accurate data across property systems and provide insight into asset and investment needs.
* Stay up to date with industry standards and contribute to continuous improvement.
Skills & Experience
* Strong technical knowledge of property maintenance and building pathology.
* Understanding of statutory, regulatory, and legislative requirements within housing/property services.
* Ability to prepare and interpret technical specifications and schedules of work.
* Proven experience delivering maintenance/repair programmes within budget and timescales.
* Commercial awareness with the ability to balance cost, quality, and customer satisfaction.
* Good knowledge of health, safety, and environmental compliance.
* Proficient IT skills, including Microsoft Office (with strong Excel knowledge).
* Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (travel required).
* Ability to pass a basic DBS check.
