We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Housekeeper & Manager for a beautiful country house and mini estate situated near Devon. This is a unique opportunity to work in a beautiful household setting, maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and organisation.
Responsibilities
1. Perform daily cleaning tasks including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and polishing surfaces.
2. Maintain cleanliness and order in all rooms, including bedrooms, bathrooms, living areas, and the kitchen.
3. Launder and iron clothing, linens, and other household textiles.
4. Organise and manage household supplies, including ordering and restocking when necessary.
5. Manage household bills & post, liaising with the family's office in London.
6. Prepare and serve meals as required.
7. Organise events at the property.
8. Welcome and assist guests visiting the house.
9. Manage bookings for the cottage that is rented out for holiday lets.
10. Drive household members to various destinations as needed.
11. Manage household schedules and appointments.
12. Maintain household security and confidentiality.
13. Arrange other staff on short-term contracts to assist when required.
14. Liaise with contractors who work at the house, ie Gardeners.
15. Happy to travel from time to time with the family when required to other properties in the UK and Abroad.
16. Help create an exceptional experience and environment for guests at the residence.
Qualifications & Experience
17. Proven experience as a Housekeeper in a formal household setting.
18. Excellent organisational and time management skills.
19. Polite, smart, and well-presented.
20. Ability to work independently, and manage tasks efficiently.
21. Strong attention to detail, and a commitment to high standards of cleanliness.
22. Competent preparing everyday meals.
23. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record, and happy to drive when required.
24. Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion.
25. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
26. Must be happy being around young children.
27. Experience on yachts or boats a bonus but not required.
Key Terms
28. Car provided.
29. Working Hours: 40-hours per week. Owners do not live at the house full-time but you will be expected to work over weekends when they are staying.
Salary: £40,000 DOE
