As a Roadside Vehicle Technician, you will respond to breakdowns promptly, starting from your own driveway, with paid travel time incorporated into your working hours.

Duties of a Roadside Vehicle Technician
* Respond to breakdown requests across Chelmsford and surrounding areas
* Perform electrical, diagnostic, and repair work on a variety of vehicle makes and models
* Fault‑finding and troubleshooting on‑site to resolve breakdown issues efficiently
* Conduct safety and quality checks on vehicles
* Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used
* Provide excellent customer service during roadside assistance calls
* Follow safety protocols and company procedures at all times
Requirements of a Roadside Vehicle Technician
* Full UK driving licence
* A minimum of a Level 2 light vehicle maintenance qualification or equivalent
* At least 2 years' post‑qualification experience in vehicle repair and diagnostics
* Strong fault‑finding skills and ability to work independently
* Customer‑centric approach with excellent communication skills
* Flexibility to work weekends, with approximately 50% rota weekends (generally fewer)
* Demonstrable experience in electrical and diagnostic work in a roadside or mobile environment
