ATA is working with a large manufacturing group, who are looking for an experienced maintenance team leader to join their team. The company, which has a turnover of over £400 million, has a fantastic reputation within their market space. Due to recent legislative changes, there has been a significant increase in the demand for their products. This growth has enabled them to plan improvements in site efficiency, machinery upgrades, and expansion of their production team. Despite some recent organizational changes, there is still work to be done. Hiring a maintenance team leader is critical to achieving these goals. You will work alongside a diverse and approachable Engineering Manager, as well as an experienced operations team. This opportunity is ideal for a team leader interested in helping businesses improve, achieve stability, and secure long-term employment.
About the role
As a Maintenance Team Leader, you will be responsible for leading a team of Shift Maintenance Engineers.
Responsibilities will include:
* Planning the team’s maintenance activities
* Supporting management of shutdown periods
* Assisting the team with complex problem solving and breakdowns
* Conducting root cause analysis, continuous improvement, and project management
* Managing external contracts and onsite contractors
* Overseeing health and safety alongside a SHE coordinator
* Managing KPIs
About you
To be considered for this Maintenance Team Leader role, you should have or possess the following:
* Mechanical bias with strong mechanical maintenance knowledge
* Previous experience in a manufacturing environment (beneficial)
* Experience as a maintenance team leader or senior engineer
* Proven ability to lead a team to achieve business KPIs
* Experience managing health and safety, including completing RAMS
* Ability to work under pressure and make confident decisions
* Level 3 engineering qualification or equivalent
