We are currently seeking a part-time temporary ongoing part-time Library assistant for our Client based in Fivemiletown Library. This is an excellent opportunity to get your foot in the door with a public sector body. STARTING ASAP, Working on a 2 week rota basis
Hours of work: 22.5 hours
Week 1: Monday OFF, Tuesday 2pm – 8pm, Wednesday OFF, Thursday 10am -5pm, Friday 10am – 5pm, Saturday 10am – 2pm
Week 2: Monday OFF, Tuesday 2pm – 8pm, Wednesday OFF, Thursday 10am -5pm, Friday 10am – 5pm, Saturday 10am – 2pm
Rate of pay is £13.21 per hour. Saturday pay rate £19.82 per hour
Duties include:
· Handling client queries using print & electronic resources
· Registering clients
· Introducing and explaining library services, rules and regulations
· Provide all library services to meet the learning, information, leisure and cultural needs of the local community.
Essential Criteria:
· Must have 5 GCSE’s including English language and Maths grade C or equivalent
· 1 years experience providing face to face service with the public.
· Experience working with young children and elderly people
· Experience using ICT for accessing, selecting and using information
