Location: Hybrid / Kings Hill, Kent Salary/package: £55,000 per annum Contract type: Permanent Hours: Full time, 37 hours per week As an Enterprise Systems Team Manager at Cantium, you'll lead the team responsible for delivering, supporting, and maintaining the enterprise systems and infrastructure that underpin services for Cantium and its customers. You will provide strategic and operational leadership across enterprise platforms including virtual environments, data centres, cloud technologies, and core business systems. This is a key leadership role that blends technical expertise, people management, and service excellence to ensure resilient, secure, and efficient services. Why this role matters As the Enterprise Systems Team Manager, you play a critical role in ensuring Cantium’s enterprise systems are reliable, secure, and aligned with organisational objectives. You’ll lead a high-performing technical team, guide operational standards, influence enterprise technology strategies, and ensure services meet agreed SLAs and KPIs. Your leadership will help maintain business continuity, drive innovation, and support Cantium’s customer-led service culture. What you’ll be doing Leading, motivating, and developing a professional technical team, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement. Allocating work effectively, monitoring performance, and ensuring optimal utilisation of resources. Acting as a subject matter expert, advising senior leaders on emerging technologies, strategies, and operational risks. Providing guidance on complex or sensitive technical issues, influencing decisions and direction. Defining, maintaining, and enforcing standards, processes, and documentation for Enterprise Services. Ensuring efficient operation of hardware, software, and cloud environments using appropriate monitoring tools. Investigating and resolving service issues, escalating when necessary, and maintaining clear stakeholder communication. Analysing system and service performance, recommending enhancements to optimise reliability and efficiency. Influencing the design and development of new systems and services, ensuring operational readiness. Gathering, interpreting, and reporting performance data to meet SLAs, KPIs, and audit requirements. Participating in Technical Design Authority meetings to align operational services with project outcomes. Working with Service Design & Transition to ensure smooth handover of new or updated services. Managing data centres and virtual environments, ensuring security, resilience, scalability, and compliance. What were looking for Degree or equivalent professional qualification and/or relevant experience. Advanced ICT industry-recognised qualifications or equivalent expertise. Strong experience within M365 and Azure enterprise environments. Proven experience delivering, supporting, and maintaining underpinning enterprise technologies. Experience managing stakeholders, customers, partners, and vendors. Evidence of innovation and driving down implementation costs. Demonstrable leadership experience, including building high-performing teams and managing change. Team Leadership : Ability to communicate a clear vision, create an effective working climate, delegate appropriately, and drive continuous improvement. Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Operations Management: Strong understanding of planning, coordinating, and monitoring operational (non-project) activities.
