Field Service Engineers ATM /Breakfix
We are excited to offer an opportunity for skilled engineers to join us on a flexible pay-per-hour basis, supporting ATM First Line Maintenance (FLM) activity.
The role is inside the IR35
What we’re looking for
* Passing a Pre Employment Screening Level 4 is essential
* Previous ATM experience is desirable but not required – full training will be provided.
* Flexibility to work within our operational window of Monday to Sunday, 08:00–22:00.
* Availability for 8.5–9 hour shifts (including a 30-minute unpaid break), 5 days over 7.
* You must have your own vehicle and a full UK driving licence.
* Own an Android smartphone
* Supply your own hand tools

Skills and Experience Required
* Strong background in electromechanical or IT field service engineering.
* Ability to work with networked devices, routers, and cabling.
* Competence in the installation, deinstallation, and commissioning of ATMs or similar equipment.
* Excellent diagnostic and fault-finding skills, with the ability to resolve issues quickly under pressure.
* Knowledge of basic PC hardware, software loading, and configuration.
* Comfortable using hand tools, testing equipment, and diagnostic software.
* Strong customer service and communication skills, representing the company professionally on-site.
* Ability to work independently, managing time and priorities effectively.
* Willingness to travel locally within your allocated region.
Desirable Skills
* Prior experience with ATM installation, servicing, or first-line maintenance.
* Familiarity with ATM manufacturer NCR is an advantage
* Experience working in a regulated industry (financial services, security, or telecommunications).
* Ability to deliver basic user training or guidance to clients after installation.

Rate of Pay:
£20.00 per hour
Rate to Engineer if no calls/low hours £50
If Engineer works, the pay would be £20 per hr those hours are offset against the £50 until exceeded.
Example:
0 hrs worked → £50 (if date has been held but no calls have materialised)
2 hrs worked (£40) → still £50 (minimum guarantee tops it up)
3 hrs worked (£60) → (exceeds retainer, so paid at the higher amount)
4 hrs worked → £80
5 hrs worked → £100
6 hrs worked → £120
7 hrs worked → £140
8 hrs worked → £160
Full shift (8.5 hrs) → £170
Mileage is charge @ 45p per mile after the first 100 miles
An additional £10 completion bonus will be paid once the job has been successfully completed and closed down requiring no further visits
