We are recruiting for Clinical Support Workers - Theatres who share our vision to be trusted to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients.

You will work alongside Registered Nurses and Operating Department Practitioners, get Theatre ready, making sure the correct equipment is available while maintaining a sterile environment. You will assist the registered practitioner, ensuring excellent patient care is given, that align with our trust values.
This role could see you work in any of the Theatre areas, both at the Lister or QE2. You would help in setting up your allocated Theatre, making sure all the equipment needed for the day is ready and available.
You will also be trained in the Pre-Op area, where you will take basic patient observations, and stay with them until they are called to Theatre.

Main duties of the job
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to participate in a virtual information and guidance session.
We look forward to engaging with as many candidates as possible. The session will provide comprehensive details regarding the role, offer interview advice, outline the assessment day, and explain the overall recruitment process.
The Maths and English assessment will take place on Friday 30th January 2026. The assessment day is in person only. Interviews will take place at a later date.

Qualifications / Training
Essential criteria
* GCSEs (or equivalent qualification or standard) in English and Math

* Care Certificate
* Health and Social Care Level 2
Previous Experience

* Ability to communicate effectively people with varying levels of understanding
