Neway are seeking a Time Together Worker – Children & Families Support Worker to join our client based with Plymouth City Council Location: Ballard House, West Hoe Road, Plymouth, PL1 3BJ Start date: 27 April 2026 Duration: ongoing Hours: 37 per week (includes regular Saturdays and some evenings) About the Role Join the OAK Tree House team, delivering supervised Time Together sessions between children and their birth families during care proceedings. This trauma‑informed service supports safe, meaningful family contact and contributes to Plymouth City Council’s wider safeguarding strategy. You’ll work directly with vulnerable children, young people, carers and families, providing structured support, therapeutic interventions and targeted direct work. The role is varied, emotionally rewarding and central to improving outcomes for children in Plymouth. Key Responsibilities Deliver supervised Time Together (contact) sessions safely and professionally Provide parenting support in and out of sessions Deliver therapeutic life‑story work and targeted interventions with children and families Work closely with social workers, foster carers and family members Maintain accurate records and contribute to assessments Support children’s emotional wellbeing using trauma‑informed practice Uphold safeguarding responsibilities at all times Participate in training, development and team support structures Requirements Experience working with vulnerable children, young people and families Understanding of trauma‑informed practice Ability to manage sensitive situations with professionalism and empathy Willingness to work Saturdays and some evenings Strong communication and partnership‑working skills Additional Information This is a frontline role supporting some of the city’s most vulnerable children.
