About the role
We are looking for full time Processing Team Leaders to join our Team at our Ashburton vegetable plant. You will be working a shift roster pattern 4 ON 4 OFF, 12-hour shifts and will be either working on Day or Night shift. A night shift allowance of $22.50 per shift will be paid for any nights worked. Remuneration will be based on experience.
As a Processing Team Leader, you will be responsible for:
* Coordinating a team of production staff to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality food processing operations.
* Ensuring that the production targets are achieved while ensuring a strict compliancy with food safety, employee safety, and workplace hygiene standards are met.
* Ensuring Product is processed to the specification.
* Leading, motivating, and manage a team of staff, including seasonal workers.
* Ensuring Health & Safety and Compliance standards are strictly followed.
For this role, you’ll need:
* Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in a food processing or manufacturing role, with at least 1 year of experience in a leadership or supervisory capacity.
* Ability to make quick, sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
* Good communication, interpersonal and troubleshooting skills.
* Reliable and physically fit to lift weights and work for 12 hours on a shift.
* Good team player with a positive attitude.
