Nursery Manager - BR5 - Term time only - 22.5 hours per week - £15 per hour
This lovely committee-run nursery is a sought-after pre-school in the heart of Beckenham, established for over 30 years, providing a secure, safe, and stimulating environment for children aged 2-5.
The nursery values each child's uniqueness and offers access to the EYFS through engaging activities, supported by a dedicated, highly qualified team.
We promote socialization, empowerment, mutual respect, and encouragement to prepare children for their next learning steps.
We are looking for a part-time manager, working 4 days a week: Mondays and Thursdays from 8.30-4.15pm, and Tuesdays and Fridays from 8.30-12.45pm.

Requirements:
* Full and relevant Level 3 or above Early Years qualification
* Experience in an early years leadership role (Nursery Manager, Deputy, Assistant Manager)
* Experience with regulatory inspections
* Experience developing high-performance teams with regulatory compliance and quality improvement
* Confident decision-maker, supportive of change, with understanding of business and service within a regulated setting
* Strong knowledge of Safeguarding, Child Protection, and legislative requirements
* Ability to build trust with colleagues, parents, and external partners
Key duties:
* Lead nursery teams to deliver outstanding care
* Drive employee engagement, retention, and performance
* Partner with HR for recruitment and diversity
* Mentor staff to ensure high-quality practice and inclusion
* Act as Designated Safeguarding Lead
* Identify succession plans and develop high-performing practitioners
* Work with regional and commercial teams to grow the nursery
* Optimize revenue and manage costs to meet financial targets
* Engage with local authorities to support practice
