The Role Overview: We are looking for a detail-oriented Document Controller / Administrator to join our team in Barrow in Furness on a full time basis. This is a key site-based role responsible for managing the flow of technical information, ensuring all documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and correctly distributed across engineering and management teams. Duties & Responsibilities: System Management: Upload drawings and technical files to internal and client systems, following set naming rules and checking lists to ensure accuracy. File Maintenance: Keep all logs and registers updated to ensure the history and latest version of every document is easily accessible. Document Preparation: Prepare files for use by adding watermarks and making necessary updates using PDF tools. Query Management: Organise incoming technical questions and submissions, ensuring they are saved correctly and routed to the right team members for action. General Administration: Provide daily office support to the wider team, keeping both digital and paper filing systems organised and tidy. Qualifications & Experience Essential: Industry Background: Proven experience as a Document Controller or Site Administrator. Software Expertise: Proficient use of Microsoft Office. Personal Skills & Qualities: Precision: High attention to detail regarding naming conventions, numbering, and version control.
