TEACHING ASSISTANT

34.5 hours per week - Term Time plus 1 Staff Development day
Actual Salary £18,857
An exciting new role has become available for a Teaching Assistant who will support the progress and attainment of students with a wide range of SEN needs. The post holder will be required to exercise their professional skills and judgement to carry out the duties set out below:
1. Support specific areas of improvement and development (specifically developing provision for students with SEND)
2. Play a key role in creating a positive culture and ethos, enabling students and staff to develop and maintain positive attitudes towards each other, the environment and the community
3. Provide a wide range of regular opportunities for students to work in teams, developing independance, resilience and confidence in becoming effective learners, in preparation for adult life
4. Liaise effectively with key stakeholders to ensure continued progress for pupils with SEND
EXPERIENCE:
5. Admin skills preferred with knowledge of Word, Excel and in house MIS
6. Experience of working within a school environment
7. Ability to work under pressure and on your own initiative
8. Be flexible and adaptable
