Overview
As an Infrastructure Engineer at JPMorgan Chase on the Commercial and Investment Banking team, you will play a pivotal role in designing and building robust infrastructure solutions and software that drive the firm's business objectives. You will primarily leverage your expertise in AWS and Terraform to deliver secure, stable, and scalable infrastructure environments. Our team supports the entire firm's needs in a federated model, providing both flexibility and control through a centralized core. A strong understanding of cross-account and cross-region communication is essential for success in this role. We are a dynamic, self-organizing team that values collaboration and creativity. Together, we tackle some of the most complex and rapidly evolving challenges in AI/ML. Job responsibilities
* Design and implement infrastructure solutions using AWS and Terraform, ensuring scalability, security, and operational efficiency.
* Troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues, applying creative problem-solving skills to resolve challenges and optimize performance.
* Automate infrastructure provisioning and management processes to enhance operational stability and reduce manual intervention.
* Collaborate with internal teams to evaluate architectural designs and technical credentials, ensuring alignment with existing systems and cloud architecture.
* Lead initiatives to promote best practices in infrastructure engineering, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
* Extensive experience in designing, implementing, and managing AWS-based infrastructure solutions.
* Proficiency in using Terraform for infrastructure as code (IaC) and automation.
* Strong problem-solving skills with a proven track record of resolving complex infrastructure challenges.
* Hands-on experience in infrastructure design, implementation, testing, and operational stability.
