Avolon M&E are seeking a Mechanical Estimator to join a growing team with their client in Hampshire. Whether you're an experienced estimator or a mechanically qualified professional looking to move into pre-construction and commercial work, we'd love to hear from you.
The company deliver high-quality mechanical and building services solutions supported by advanced digital construction methods. From full HVAC system installs to bespoke refurbishment and commercial fit-out projects, they provide technically led project planning and delivery across the South of England. Their approach is grounded in both technical accuracy and collaboration, with a strong emphasis on early-stage coordination and planning.
The Role
As a Mechanical Estimator, you'll play a key role in the front end of our project lifecycle, helping to secure and shape future work. Your responsibilities will include:
* Preparing mechanical estimates for a range of commercial and refurbishment projects
* Reading drawings, specifications, and tender documents to produce accurate cost plans
* Liaising with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive quotations
* Working with the delivery team to hand over successful bids and support pre-construction planning
* Assisting with value engineering and identifying project risks and opportunities
* For trainee-level candidates: learning the estimating process through structured support and mentoring
Who This Would Suit
* Experienced Mechanical Estimators looking for a progressive, collaborative company

* Individuals with a strong mechanical understanding and a head for numbers, planning, and detail
* Familiarity with HVAC, plumbing, VRF systems, ductwork, etc., is essential
