The expectations for teaching positions are that teachers will engage students with appropriate learning activities and experiences designed to help them reach their full potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, social, and spiritual growth. In addition, this position will enable students to develop competencies and skills to function successfully in society through class activities.
Requirements include a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university and a valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements for the subject and level assigned. All faculty, staff, and volunteers must complete Safe Environment Training and a background check. Additionally, faculty and staff should have knowledge of subjects assigned, the ability to instruct students with rigorous expectations, strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills, and above average to excellent classroom management skills.
