Do you have experience of planning and development to play a leading role in overseeing and supporting the commissioning activities of the OPCC, including maintaining effective controls and oversight of contractual delivery, whilst establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with partners and assisting in the applying for grant funding to deliver projects? If so, we have an exciting opportunity to join us as a Commissioning Officer. As a key part of a small but dynamic team, the successful candidate will be involved in demonstrating sound management of commissioned contracts, performance and monitoring to help to deliver the priorities of the Police and Crime Plan. The successful candidate will be involved in the development and implementation of a wide range of plans, strategies and contract and financial management across a range of topic areas but will primarily focus on leading work on prioritised themes that support delivery of the Police and Crime Plan. The current prioritised areas the successful candidate will lead on are t he annual grants process, the recommissioning of services and commissioned service performance and monitoring. Key skills will include: Excellent oral and written communication skills and experience of producing reports and briefings. Experience of commissioning is essential. Highly motivated, a self-starter, proactive and uses their own initiative.
