Key Responsibilities Carry out vehicle servicing, maintenance, and mechanical repairs Perform vehicle inspections and fault finding Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using diagnostic equipment Complete repairs including brakes, suspension, steering, clutches, and engine components Carry out MOT preparation work to ensure vehicles meet testing standards Conduct MOT testing in line with DVSA regulations (if qualified) Maintain accurate job records and documentation Ensure all work is completed in line with health and safety standards Work effectively as part of the workshop team Requirements NVQ Level 3 / IMI Level 3 in Motor Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) Experience as a Vehicle Technician, Vehicle Mechanic, or Automotive Technician MOT Tester Licence (desirable but not essential) Ability to use diagnostic tools and software Strong problem-solving and fault-finding skills High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship Full UK driving licence (preferred)
