Overview
This exciting role is within our Midlands Indirect tax team, based in our Midlands offices.
Our clients include UK headquartered businesses and inbound groups across a range of sectors. Our work in the tax advisory space includes supporting clients with business and fiscal change, such as advising on new jurisdiction entry, business reorganisations, tax authority enquiries, pre/post transaction reorganisations, refinancing, cash repatriation, interest deductibility, and the impact of global fiscal change (BEPS Pillar 2).
We operate as a hybrid team, collaborating in the office or at client sites at least twice a week, with flexibility for the rest of your time.
The Role
* Act as a primary contact for a portfolio of clients on day-to-day tax matters, collaborating with Senior Managers and Managers on larger accounts.
* Support tax advisory projects by providing UK Indirect tax input based on experience and detailed research, working with other tax areas and overseas firms as needed.
* Keep clients informed about emerging Indirect and wider tax developments affecting their business.
* Assist in delivering UK Indirect tax compliance services.
* Supervise junior staff and provide coaching for their development.
* Help Managers and Senior Managers with client account management, ensuring compliance with quality and risk management procedures and financial oversight.
* Contribute to business development opportunities.
The Person
* UK VAT advisory experience with proven client management skills and ability to generate work; CTA qualification is preferred.
* UK Indirect tax experience.
