Role Objective

The Fixed Income Financing Operations department supports bond borrow and repo desks. Based in Glasgow and Bangalore, the team ensures accurate trade execution and collateralisation, and reports Security Financing Transaction Regulation (SFTR) compliance.


Key Responsibilities

* Participate in project readiness tasks to meet ongoing transaction reporting obligations.
* Oversee controls to ensure complete, accurate, and timely submission of reporting requirements.
* Monitor and resolve transaction reporting exceptions through close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, including Business Unit, Security Settlements, and Corporate Actions teams.
* Provide subject‑matter expertise when determining reporting impact to new business and product initiatives.
* Monitor trends in reporting exceptions to identify root cause and resolve at source.
* Monitor KRI and KPI thresholds to maintain risk and performance standards.
* Ensure all Written Supervisory Procedures, Process Maps, and System access requirements are up to date.
* Engage in BCP transference testing and minimise knowledge dilution in Glasgow and Bangalore.
* Work with key stakeholders to identify and create efficiencies in daily processes.
* Provide operations support for IT developments.


Requirements

* 3+ years experience in Ops, Investment, Projects or Change Management.
* Bank or Change the Bank experience preferred.
* Strong relationship‑management track record and experience managing process, risk and controls.
* Good aptitude for working in a demanding, fast‑paced environment with high‑volume workloads and prioritisation skills.
* Strong communication skills and a proven ability to develop relationships with Business Unit, internal stakeholders and vendors.
* Understanding of escalation and ability to handle a pressurised environment while continually seeking to improve processes.
* Desirability of experience in Securities Financing industry, though not essential, will provide a solid foundation.
