The Opportunity:
A high-growth, Private Equity-backed consumer care, education, and multi-asset business in London is seeking a dynamic FP&A Manager to join at a pivotal stage of its investment cycle. With c.£20m turnover, £4–5m EBITDA, and an ambitious growth strategy, the business is at the start of a transformative journey – targeting five acquisitions a year from 2026/27 onwards.
Reporting directly to the recently appointed Tier 1 Private Equity CFO (15+ years of fund and portfolio experience), the FP&A Manager will be the #1 in FP&A. This is a rare opportunity to build and shape the FP&A function in a fast-paced, acquisitive environment.
The Role:
The FP&A Manager will lead all budgeting, forecasting, and analysis, providing critical insight to influence strategic decision-making. Working closely with senior stakeholders, they will be responsible for:
* Designing and embedding robust FP&A processes in a scale-up environment.
* Leading budgeting and forecasting cycles, with full ownership of the group planning calendar.
* Developing impactful data visualisations and commercial storytelling through tools such as Power BI (or similar).
* Supporting the CFO and senior leadership team in driving performance and value creation.
* Building financial models, scenario analysis, and strategic decision support for both organic and M&A growth.
* Leveraging the business’s newly implemented MS Dynamics 365 ERP and helping select and roll out a dedicated FP&A/planning tool in the next 12–18 months.
The Requirements:
The ideal candidate will be a qualified finance professional (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with 3–4+ years of FP&A experience, ideally gained in a Private Equity-backed, high-growth, scale-up, or start-up environment. They will have:
* Proven ability to work at pace, adapt to change, and deliver in a rapidly evolving environment.
* Strong stakeholder management skills, with the gravitas to influence senior decision-makers.
* Excellent financial modelling and Excel skills, with a track record of delivering insightful, actionable analysis.
* Experience of “rolling sleeves up” and implementing best-in-class FP&A practices in a new or scaling business.
* Commercial curiosity, resilience, and the ability to “steady the ship” while driving transformation.
* Exposure to P&L, balance sheet and cash flow.
This is a hands-on role in a highly entrepreneurial, performance-driven culture. The successful candidate will be exposed to significant senior leadership interaction and will have the opportunity to progress to Head of FP&A as the business grows.
Location: London (Hybrid – 3 days in the office, 2 days WFH)
