The Role
We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Under Twos Room Leader to join our team. You will lead the care and development of our youngest children, ensuring they receive the very best start in life. As Room Leader, you will manage a small team of practitioners, take responsibility for planning and delivering high-quality care and learning experiences, and ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the under twos room.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the under twos room with confidence, ensuring a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment.
* Oversee the daily care routines, including feeding, sleeping, and nappy changes, with close attention to individual needs.
* Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging activities that support the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and encourage development.
* Build strong, positive relationships with children, parents, and carers, ensuring open communication and trust.
* Supervise, mentor, and support staff within the room, fostering a collaborative and caring team environment.
* Ensure all safeguarding, health & safety, and nursery policies are adhered to.
* Keep accurate records of children's development and progress, using our digital system (Blossom).
* Work closely with management to continuously improve standards and the learning environment.
About You
* Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education and Childcare (or equivalent) is essential.
* Proven experience working with under twos in a nursery or childcare setting.
* Previous leadership or supervisory experience desirable.
* Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework and child development.
* A warm, caring, and patient approach, with excellent communication skills.
* Organised, reliable, and passionate about delivering the highest quality childcare.
