Job Description
A highly scaled, customer-facing, multi-site service business is hiring an Operational Excellence Supervisor to lead an ongoing simplification agenda across the UK and Ireland market.
This role exists to make it easier for front line teams to deliver a consistently great customer experience by simplifying processes, policies, and ways of working. This is a continuous improvement remit, not a one-off project.
What you will do
* Lead and deliver high-impact simplification and operational excellence initiatives, aligned to the Operational Excellence Lead.
* Build and manage a cross-functional pipeline of simplification opportunities sourced from central teams, operations, and external partners.
* Facilitate workshops to identify pain points, complete root cause analysis, map processes, and design practical solutions.
* Define clear principles for "what good looks like" and translate them into a prioritised road map.
* Drive implementation into business-as-usual, ensuring changes are adopted and sustained.
* Set up light-touch governance and decision points, align stakeholders, and manage key dependencies and risks.
* Track benefits and outcomes, quantifying impact and reporting progress to senior stakeholders.
What we are looking for
* Experience in operational excellence, transformation, continuous improvement, or business improvement in a complex environment.
* Working knowledge of CI approaches such as Lean, Six Sigma, and Agile.
* Strong project and portfolio management skills, including planning, prioritisation, and outcome tracking.
* Confident facilitator with experience running workshops and influencing teams to adopt new ways of working.
* Highly effective stakeholder management and communication skills, comfortable operating in matrixed organisations.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a pragmatic delivery mindset.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and common project tools (for example Excel, PowerPoint, Smartsheet or equivalents).
