Overview: Adult Staff Nurse - Haematology and Oncology Day Unit. Band 5. Main area Haematology and Oncology. Contract Permanent. Hours: Full time, Part time, 37.5 hours per week (Monday - Friday - No nights or weekends).
Site: Bristol Haematology and Oncology Centre. Town: Bristol. Salary: £31,049 - £37,796 pa / pa pro rata. Salary period: Yearly.
We are looking for a motivated and passionate nurse who is interested in working in an innovative, fast-paced chemotherapy setting. We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic nurse to join our committed, positive, and friendly team.
The chemotherapy department has recently been awarded Gold Accreditation for our high standards of patient care. We deliver a range of systemic anti-cancer treatments within our dynamic nurse-led service.
Main Duties of the Job
The majority of the role will be based in the Chemotherapy day unit, with working hours of 8.00-18.00. Once fully trained, you will also be expected to work some of your hours in the community satellite units, Monday to Friday, including some Bank Holidays.
Deliver Systemic Anti Cancer Therapy safely to patients with a range of oncology and haematological conditions, within hospital and community-based units.
* Be responsible and accountable for the delivery of SACT treatments to a scheduled group of patients.

Qualifications and Training:
* NMC Registration
* Evidence of post-Graduate Education or willingness to work towards
Knowledge and Experience:
* Experience in Acute Setting
* Interest in the Specialised Area
* Experience of teaching/Mentoring
Skills and Abilities:
* Demonstrate competence in clinical skills relevant to the clinical area
* Good interpersonal and communication skills, able to communicate effectively with patients, carers and MDT
* Ability to take the lead, initiate and ensure appropriate action in response to the deteriorating patient
* Clinical decision-making ability
