This is a class-based leadership role for a strong, reflective teacher who wants to make a wider difference across the school while remaining firmly rooted in classroom practice. You will work closely with the Headteacher and Key Stage Leaders, supporting the day-to-day running of the school and leading agreed areas linked to teaching, behaviour and whole-school culture.
About Thringstone
Thringstone Primary School is a caring, inclusive village school with high expectations for every child. Our vision, Believe and Achieve Together, guides our daily work and reflects our belief that children thrive when relationships are strong, expectations are clear and learning is purposeful.
We are proud of our community, our commitment to inclusion, and our ambition for children to grow in confidence, resilience and self-belief.

4. Support staff and children with behaviour and pastoral needs, helping to maintain a calm, consistent and positive school culture.
5. Have delegated responsibility to act on behalf of the Headteacher in agreed operational matters.
6. Have regular release time to carry out leadership responsibilities effectively.
We are looking for someone who:
7. Is a confident, reflective classroom teacher with high expectations.
8. Has leadership experience and is keen to develop this further.
9. Believes in fairness, consistency and inclusive practice.
10. Is calm, approachable and solution-focused.
11. Has a secure understanding of safeguarding and is willing to undertake the role of Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead.
12. Shares our values and is committed to supporting every child to succeed.
What we offer:
13. A supportive, welcoming staff team who work well together.
14. Clear leadership and a shared sense of direction.
