Job Summary
Provide direct leadership and resources to CQG Sr. Technicians-Team leaders and Technicians to ensure goals and objectives within their areas of responsibility are met. Ensure coordination of manpower related to inspections, auditing, and offline activities.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required. Minimum two years prior supervisory experience, preferably in manufacturing environment. Excellent communication skills (written and oral). Ability to work independently with little or no supervision.
Responsibilities
Essential Functions:
* Ensure CQG Inspection group and areas are safely, effectively, and efficiently supporting daily production requirements, and performing inspections appropriately.
* Support production plan by ensure proper manpower balance.
* Ensure CQG manpower on the shift are supporting quality goals and targets are communicated, monitored, and met. Shortfalls are identified and reaction plans are in place. Ensure Sr. Technicians are participating / supporting top issue improvements.
* Ensure CQG on the shift are aware of coming change points and make adjustments in auditing, inspection, manning etc. to ensure quality of the product is assured.
* Review shift report, FGE report, downtime report etc. and ensure relevant information is shared and escalated appropriately. Ensure items are communicated at start of shift and documented properly at end of shift for next shift.
* Review & verify operation standards to actual line process. Ensure “Best Practices” are followed, and Operation Standards are as common as possible across all CQG inspection areas.
* Verify Training Matrix is up to date. Audit job rotation and training depth and ensure per plan. Set training depth requirements on training matrix.
* Support development of training material and training of CQG to new processes and products as well as expectations, roles and responsibilities.
* Audit and ensure 5S requirements are followed. Ensure shift has appropriate supplies and organizational items.
* Audit CQG inspection areas and ensure areas are safe, clean & efficient.
* Ensure Quality requirements are met, Operation Standards / Appearance Limit Master Books are being followed, and customer viewpoint and expectations are being enforced.
* Responsible for ensuring accuracy of time and attendance entries for all CQG Technicians and Sr. Technicians – Team leaders in the payroll system.
* Assist in the request development, requirement setting, ordering and evaluation of new equipment in CQG areas.
* Confirm daily CQG documents (ex: shift reports, Daily C/M audits, equipment checklist, startup checks, inspection data entry etc.) are completed each day.
* Compile and analyze CQG Technician & Sr. Technician data for trends and large concerns. Contribute to Sr. Technicians’ top repair item improvement selections.
* Ensure daily entry and analysis of CQG data is completed and details shared with Production areas.
* Periodically review / audit CQG documents ensuring latest are posted, “Best Practices” are included, and they are useful and being used effectively.
* Liaison between CQG, Quality – Parts Quality and Production Depts.
* Support IQS review, Manager Patrol, BQ Activity and 5S etc.
* Support Service Parts approval as needed.
* It is an essential function of this position that Associates be on the work site in person to perform their job duties throughout each scheduled work week because TSIN operates most effectively with the kind of teamwork, personal interaction, and supervision that simply cannot be had in a home office situation.
* Must be able to utilize customer specific portals and databases as they align with the above duties.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment
* The associate will have to be able to stand, walk, push, pull, and lift a minimum of 25 lbs.
* Will be exposed to possible high levels of noise
