GSL Education are currently seeking to appoint an Arts Teacher to undertake a position at one of our client schools in hull. you will play a pivotal role in nurturing students' artistic talents, fostering their love for the performing arts, and empowering them to become confident, expressive, and culturally literate individuals. Role of an Arts Teacher:
* Design and develop engaging and relevant curriculum content for performing arts subjects, such as drama, music, dance, and theater studies, in alignment with national curriculum standards and the school's educational goals.
* Plan and deliver dynamic and inclusive lessons that cater to the diverse learning needs and abilities of students, incorporating a variety of teaching methods, techniques, and resources to promote active participation and creativity.
* Foster the development of students' artistic skills, techniques, and talents across a range of performing arts disciplines, providing opportunities for them to explore, experiment, and refine their abilities through practical exercises, rehearsals, and performances.
* Organize and oversee the production of performances, showcases, concerts, and theatrical productions involving students, including casting, rehearsals, set design, costume creation, and technical aspects such as lighting and sound.
* Encourage students to express themselves creatively and imaginatively through various forms of artistic expression, nurturing their confidence, self-esteem, and communication skills both on and off the stage
* Collaborate with colleagues within the performing arts department and across other subject areas to integrate performing arts activities into cross-curricular projects, thematic units, and school-wide events, fostering a culture of creativity and collaboration.
The successful candidate will:
* Have previous experience working as a teacher within an educational setting.
* Original or certified copies of your degree certificates or diplomas related to performing arts education, such as Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Performing Arts, Bachelor of Education (BEd) with a specialization in Performing Arts, or relevant Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) qualifications.
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) certificate or evidence of completion of a recognized teacher training program.
* Evidence of completion of safeguarding training, such as a certificate or confirmation from a training provider. This demonstrates your understanding of child protection policies and procedures.
* Hold relevant qualifications or training in education, childcare, or a related field.
* Are passionate about supporting the learning and development of student and making a positive difference in their lives.
