Role – We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Java Microservices AWS Developer to design, build, and deploy high-performance web applications using Java and AWS Serverless technologies. You will work across the full development lifecycle from architecture and development to deployment and monitoring; leveraging modern frameworks such as Spring Boot and AWS services like Lambda, DynamoDB, ECS Fargate, and API Gateway. This is an opportunity to contribute to a high-visibility project within a leading organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design, develop, and deploy Java-based microservices on AWS.
* Build and maintain scalable serverless applications using AWS Lambda, DynamoDB, ECS Fargate, and related services.
* Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes.
* Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code using best practices.
* Conduct unit and integration testing to ensure quality and performance.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver new features.
* Participate in code reviews and enforce development standards.
* Monitor and troubleshoot application performance and stability.
* Take ownership of full lifecycle development — from design through to production.
Key Skills:
* 10+ years of professional experience in software development.
* Expert in Java, Spring Boot, and concurrent programming.
* Proven experience with AWS Serverless Architecture, including:
o Lambda, DynamoDB, ECS Fargate, SQS, SNS, Kinesis, CloudWatch, CloudFormation, IAM, API Gateway, ALBs, KMS, Secrets Manager, Parameter Store, and S3.
o Strong understanding of message-driven architectures (MQ/Kafka).
o Solid experience with RDBMS (Sybase/DB2 preferred) and complex SQL.
o Full SDLC knowledge, from design through deployment.
o Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
o Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
