Hours: From 1 April 2026, the working week for NHS Agenda for Change staff in Scotland will be reduced. Full-time hours will reduce from 37 to 36 hours (pro rata for part-time staff) without loss of earnings. 25.53 hours per week over 5 days, Mon – Fri, no weekend commitment at present however this may change in future (Contract will be Mon – Sun). UK Driving Licence/Car Ownership: A UK car licence/car ownership is essential to this role. Pool car will be available some days of working but not every day. What you will do: Health Care Support Worker (HCSW) works collaboratively in a safe, caring and respectful way as part of the multidisciplinary team carrying out a wide range of clinical care tasks and delegated duties, often without direct supervision from senior staff. In partnership with the Registered Nurse the HCSW will review the patient’s individual care plan and will competently perform the necessary aspects of care, within their scope of clinical practise, for the patient as per the individual care plan to ensure delivery of a high standard, recording care delivery and reporting back to the Registered Nurse.
