Inventory Control Admin Role overview: The Internal Auditor safeguards the organisation’s assets, data integrity, and operational effectiveness by independently evaluating controls across financial, operational, and compliance processes. The role focuses on high‑risk areas including product lifecycle management (PLM), engineered‑to‑order (ETO) workflow governance, transit location management, inventory accuracy, order processing, and root cause/corrective action frameworks—ensuring risks are identified early and mitigated through practical, business‑friendly recommendations. Your objectives and responsibilities will focus on: •Advanced user of the company’s MRP software, with expertise in managing and optimizing database operations. •Strong ability to perform all key administrative tasks across the full operation, including GRB, North Stores, and Distribution Centre. •Build and maintain effective cross-functional relationships with logistics and wider business teams. •Ensure customer orders are processed accurately and delivered on time to meet OTTR (On Time to Requirement) targets. •Operate computerized systems and databases to maintain accurate transactions within required timescales. •Carry out routine duties for the collection and proper disposal of recycling and general waste streams. •Comply with Company Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) practices, proactively identify improvement opportunities, and support related initiatives. •Demonstrate commitment to Company Core Values in all activities. •Actively engage in continuous improvement initiatives and contribute ideas to enhance processes. •Flexible and adaptable to undertake additional duties as required. •Take ownership of personal development by creating and driving an individual development plan. To be successful in this role you will demonstrate … • Company Core Values at all times •Skills in planning and executing daily tasks with strong numeracy and literacy capabilities, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all operations. •Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), with expertise in data management, reporting, and process optimization. •Ability to follow instructions accurately and consistently •Strong attention to detail to ensure high-quality standards •Motivation to learn and develop within the role •Proactive and adaptable approach to changing priorities •Capability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team •Commitment to upholding the Company’s Core Values •Excellent organisational and time management skills •Proficient in JDE/E1 or similar ERP systems, with strong ability to interpret and analyse data •Certified or experienced in Continuous Improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma) •Solid understanding of PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) and ETO (Engineer-to-Order) processes •Recent hands-on experience with WMS (Warehouse Management Systems) or equivalent in daily operations •Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, across all organizational levels •Advanced numerical and analytical skills for data-driven decision-making •Ability to provide technical support for IS systems and handheld scanning devices •Proven capability to build and maintain strong cross-functional relationships internally and externally Your application will highly benefit from: •Experience of working in a production environment •Understanding of your commercial impact on the department •Continuous Improvement knowledge/certification •Training in the PLM system – PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) systems manage product data and processes across the lifecycle.
