What You\'ll Do
* Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or contractors by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, verifying credentials, and documenting entry and exit activity at a government location.
* Monitor entry points, screen people, vehicles, and/or deliveries as directed, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas, docks, gates, and other controlled locations.
* Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or emergency personnel when appropriate.
* Conduct regular and random patrols around buildings, gates, parking areas, and perimeter locations, observing for security-related concerns and reporting conditions according to post orders.
* Complete required logs, reports, and/or incident documentation, and follow Allied Universal policies, site procedures, and emergency response activities as needed.
Minimum Requirements
* Possess a TSA issued TWIC.
* A guard card/license is preferred.
* Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
* Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
* As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
* Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
* As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
* Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
* A valid driver\'s license will be required for driving positions only.
