Credit Controller
Reports to: Finance Director
Location: Hybrid. Office-based at Chapman Way
Role Purpose:
Responsible for managing the VisionTrack Limited aged debt ledger. The role involves ensuring timely payments from customers, reducing overdue debt, monitoring accounts, contacting customers regarding overdue payments, setting up payment plans, and initiating legal proceedings when necessary. The credit controller also assesses credit risk, maintains accurate records, and contributes to financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Work closely with the Subscription Billing Controller and Financial Controller to improve credit control processes and enhance cash flow.
2. Identify causes of payment delays and assess risks for high-risk customers.
3. Proactively manage customer accounts and resolve outstanding debts.
4. Reduce current aged debt to target levels.
5. Regularly review aged receivables reports and remind customers of upcoming payments, negotiating repayment plans when appropriate.
6. Perform account reconciliations and work with Customer Experience and Account Management teams to resolve issues, including issuing credit notes or re-invoicing.
7. Follow up on bounced monthly statement emails and maintain accurate contact details for customer accounts.
8. Request remittance advice for payments to support accurate cash allocation.
