Due to continued growth, thepany is seeking an Accounts Assistant to join its finance team and support the smooth running of day‑to‑day financial operations.
Your new role
As Accounts Assistant, you will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the Finance Manager across a range of duties. This is a hands‑on role within a busy SME environment, offering excellent exposure and development opportunities.
Your responsibilities will include:
1. Processing purchase invoices and reconciling supplier statements
2. Maintaining the sales ledger and issuing customer invoices
3. Assisting with credit control and debtor management
4. Supporting month‑end processes including journals, accruals, and prepayments
5. Providing administrative support to the finance and operations teams
6. Assisting with stock and workshop costing where required
What you'll need to succeed
7. Previous experience in an accounts or finance support role
8. Strong attention to detail and accuracy
9. Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
10. Experience with accounting software (Sage or Xero desirable)
11. Strongmunication and organisational skills
12. Ability to work independently and as part of a small team
