Staffline is recruiting HGV Class 1 Drivers to work in Goole.
Pay and patterns
* FTE/New pass/Mon-Fri: Days £16.25; Nights £19.61; Saturday £19.61; Sunday £20.17
* Ad hoc/Weekend drivers (both Sat+Sun): Days £18.00; Nights £19.00; Saturday £22.00; Sunday £24.00
* Guaranteed 9 hours on all patterns
* Bank holiday = Sunday rate
Pattern assignments
Drivers looking for adhoc positions must have experience as these will be assessed as standard. FTE drivers will be booked multiple weeks in advance and generally Monday to Friday. Adhoc will be booked on a weekly basis as requirements dip. Adhoc will include weekends.
Your Time at Work
As an HGV Class 1 Driver you will be responsible for:
* Conducting pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any defects or maintenance needs to ensure roadworthiness
* Maintaining accurate records of deliveries, logbooks, and other necessary paperwork in compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
* Following all safety protocols and procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to health and safety regulations.
Our Perfect Worker
Our perfect worker will have excellent communication skills and be able to understand and carry out necessary vehicle checks to ensure vehicle safety and able to report defects correctly.
Applicants will comply with on-site health and safety requirements. You will understand and be able to comply with the driver's hours and WTD legislation.
Qualifications
You should hold a valid HGV 1/C+E Licence, DCPC & Tacho cards with no more than 6 points and no DD/ DR Code convictions. Minimum of 6 months UK driving experience required.
