Following a period of sustained growth and continued investment, the company is entering an exciting new chapter — moving into a brand-new, enlarged production facility to support future expansion. To underpin this growth and strengthen the senior leadership team, we are seeking an outstanding Finance Director to act as the strategic right hand to the high-energy, commercially driven Managing Director. The Role This is a pivotal appointment for the business, a mix of hands-on leadership, strategic finance, and commercial partnership. The Finance Director will be responsible for shaping the financial strategy, ensuring robust controls and reporting, and driving insight-led decision-making across the business. Key responsibilities of the Finance Director will include : Partnering closely with the Managing Director to shape and deliver the company’s growth strategy. Leading all aspects of financial management — budgeting, forecasting, cashflow, and performance analysis. Overseeing the transition into a new manufacturing facility and ensuring financial planning supports operational excellence. Developing and mentoring the finance team to build capability and scalability. Providing commercial insight to support pricing, investment decisions, and margin improvement. Managing relationships with external stakeholders including auditors, banks, and investors We’re looking for an energetic, hands-on, and commercially minded Finance Director who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. Successful candidate : We are looking for a Finance Director with: A recognised accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA). Proven experience as Finance Director, Head of Finance, or Senior Financial Controller within manufacturing, ideally food. A blend of strategic vision and operational pragmatism. The ability to act as a true business partner to an ambitious MD — challenging, supporting, and driving results. Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and develop a growing team. Experience managing growth, investment, and change, including site moves or scale-ups would be desirable.
