Overview
Senior Therapeutic Radiographer roles for Treatment/Rotational Band 6 posts to cover maternity leave within the department. Band 5 radiographers with a minimum of 18 months experience will be considered for these posts. Closing date: 04 May 2026.
As a Band 6 Senior Therapeutic Radiographer you would be part of a Linac-based team and may rotate through other areas such as pre-treatment or brachytherapy. The centre provides treatments including paediatric radiotherapy, image-guided IMRT, SABR, SRS and total body electron and photon treatments.
Flexible shifts over the working week with hours between 07:30 and 20:00.
Main duties of the job
* Rotate through all relevant clinical areas of the department under the direction of the sectional team leaders.
* Work and lead as part of a team to provide a high quality Radiotherapy Service.
* Comply with and contribute to the maintenance of ISO 9001:2015 quality system for the department.
* Participate in audit and the clinical research and development of techniques and equipment.
* Ensure high technical standards and patient care standards are maintained during simulation and treatment.
* Participate in the training and education programme of student and junior radiographers.

Person Specification
Training and Qualifications
* HCPC registered therapeutic radiographer
Experience
* Minimum of 18 months post registration experience
* Experience of using modern treatment machines
* Experience of working within the NHS
* Completion of preceptorship period with evidence
Communication and relationship skills
* Evidence of good verbal and written communication skills
Analytical and judgement skills
* Can analyse and interpret treatment data and communicate to junior staff
Planning and organisational skills
* Can demonstrate effective workload management of self and others/treatment machines
