About The Role
Are you passionate about people and looking for a role where you can make a real impact? We are recruiting a dedicated People Partner to join our Best Food Logistics team. If you have strong people partnering experience, a background working with Trade Unions, and thrive in a fast-paced environment, we want to hear from you. This role will be based in Royton, supporting the site and Central Functions.
You will be responsible for
* Partner with key stakeholders to develop and implement people strategies that drive business growth
* Provide expert advice on complex employee relations cases, ensuring compliance with policies and employment law
* Manage talent, support development, and succession planning
* Work on organisational design and change management initiatives
* Use data to support people-focused initiatives
* Champion colleague engagement, wellbeing, and diversity, equity, and inclusion
* Focus on performance and absence management
* Maintain strong relationships with Trade Union representatives
This role is initially on a 6 month basis with the possibility of extension or becoming a permanent position.
You will need
* CIPD Level 5 would be advantageous but not essential
* Strong people partnering experience
* Experience with Trade Unions and ideally in a blue-collar environment
* Excellent communication and influencing skills
* Knowledge of employment law and employee relations management
* A commitment to promoting diversity and inclusion
* People management experience
* Experience in a fast-paced environment, such as distribution or retail
